SCHEDULE / DATE SHEET FOR FINAL TERM SCHOOL BASED ASSESSMENT (SBA) 2025 AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SOPs IN SCHOOLS ACROSS THE PUNJAB

I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to enclose herewith schedule/ date sheet for Final Term School Based Assessment (SBA), 2025 for Grades 1 to 8 across the Punjab and to convey that the following instructions/ directions be adhered in letter & spirit: –

The coverage of the final term will consist of a complete syllabus.
The Punjab Examination Commission will upload item bank and schools will generate its unique papers using IBS from their specific school login and ensure that the same is being conducted by the schools. Any deviation will not be considered SBA as per the approved Assessment Policy Framework and appropriate action will be taken against the delinquent schools/districts.
All the question papers, except for English & Urdu, will be provided bilingually and schools will be able to generate papers either in English or Urdu, at their convenience.
Every school will have to generate question papers by logging into the Item Bank System (IBS) with QR code showing complete information of the school with EMIS code (which can be scanned through any QR Code Scanning App).
The standardized marking will be ensured by using keys and rubrics available with the papers in IBS. Teachers will be constraint from marking of their classes rather than Principals / Headmasters / Head Teachers will ensure “cross marking” of papers by engaging teachers of other classes or schools.
The system-generated paper for each subject (Grades 3 to 8) having both parts (MCQs & CRQs) will be Two pages (one leaf), except for Grade 1 & 2. Where only one question paper will be provided for oral assessment.
