GRANT OF ADHOC RELIEF ALLOWANCE-2024 TO CIVIL SERVANTS OF THE PUNJAB GOVERNMENT
I am directed to state that the Governor of the Punjab has been pleased to sanction an Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 with effect from pt July, 2024 and till further orders to all the Civil Servants of the Punjab Government and contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms & conditions of contract appointment as under:
- BS-1 to BS-16 – 25% of Running Basic Pay
- BS-17 to BS-22 – 20% of Running Basic Pay
The Adhoc Relief Allowance – 2024 will be admissible subject to the following conditions:
- Be subject to income Tax.
- Be admissible during leave and the entire period of LPR except during extraordinary leave (without pay).
- Not be treated as part of emoluments for the purpose of calculation of pension/gratuity and recovery of House Rent.
- Not be admissible to the civil servants during the tenure of their posting on deputation.
- Be admissible to the civil servants on their repatriation from posting on deputation at the rate and amount that would have been admissible to them had they not been posted on deputation.
The above Ad-hoc Relief Allowance-2024 shall be accommodated from within the budgetary allocation for the Financial Year 2024-2025 by the respective departments and no supplementary grant would be given to this account
