Punjab Benevolent Fund
The Government of Panjab takes the initiative to provide grants of different types to facilitate their civil servants. Established with the aim “To Serve Humanity“, Punjab Government Servants Benevolent Fund Board has been providing services to Punjab government civil servants since 1960. The Punjab Benevolent Fund Board is a governmental organization supporting the serving and retired provincial government employees as well as widows/ children of deceased government servants across the province under the provisions of The Punjab Government Servants Benevolent Fund Ordinance, 1960.
Marriage Grant
A marriage grant (Shadi Grant) is awarded for the marriage of each daughter of a government servant. The different amounts given for marriage grants are as follows:
Gazetted (Part-I)
- All Government Servants serving in Punjab Government of grades 16-22 | PKR 80,000
Non – Gazetted (Part-II)
- All Government servants serving in the Punjab Government of grades 1-15 | PKR 55,000
How to Apply for a Marriage Grant
To apply for this grant, follow these steps and ensure that you submit the application form along with the required documents as specified:
- Download the Application Form: Obtain the application form for the grant from the end of the post.
- Complete the Application Form: Fill out the application form with all the required information. Ensure that you provide accurate and complete details.
- Gather the Necessary Documents: You will need to submit several documents along with your application. Make sure you have the following documents ready:
- CNIC copy of Applicant/ Govt. Employee
- Marrying Daughter CNIC or Matric Result Card or Birth Certificate from Concern Union Council
- Copy of Nikkah Nama (Nikah Registration Certificate)
- Pay Slip of Govt. Servant with B.F. Deduction Proof
- If Retired Govt. Servant then Retirement Orders/ PPO Copy
- If Govt. Servant has Died then attach a copy of the Death Certificate
- Death Certificate issued from Town Committee/ Union Council
- List of Family Members (FRC) (if Govt. Employee is dead)
- Nikkah Indraj Fehrist/ Nadra Registration Certificate
- Affidavit for Marriage Grant:
- Submit the Application:
- Submission Deadline to Parent’s Department: Ensure that you apply within 275 days to the parent’s department. This is the first step in the submission process.
- Submission to B.F. Board: After applying to the parent’s department, it should be further submitted to the B.F. (Benevolent Fund) Board within 03 years. Make sure you adhere to this timeline.
- Follow-Up: After applying, consider following up with the relevant authorities to confirm the receipt of your application and to inquire about the progress of your application’s review.
Provided that the application for the marriage grant is made by the applicant within 3 years of marriage, through the parent’s office, submitted to the concerned Benevolent Fund Board.
